MAISHA MAGIC EAST LAUNCHES A VERNACULAR KIKUYU COMEDY NGAHIHA CIA WENDO

An exciting new comedy has been added in the lineup of already awesome entertainment that Maisha Magic East has. The kikuyu comedy, a  1st vernacular show in the station, will be premiering on the 2nd of October 2015 7.30pm on DStv 158 and GOtv Kenya channel 4. Ngahiha cia wendo is a comedy drama revolving around the lives of three childhood friends brought up in  up country who move to the city in search of better lives, however what transpires for them is a life full of  uncertainty and misplaced hopes. Their relationships is nothing special either as they all find themselves trapped in unending problems and fights with their loved ones, for them life is a big ball of trouble  and love they have come to learn is a mystery that can never be solved.

Unlike many other vernacular shows Ngahiha  cia wendo is not based on a rural  setting but rather a modern  urban one with a fusion of Kikuyu, Embu and Meru speaking characters however  with English subtitles the PG rated show can be watched by everyone including the kikuyu non speaking people. The show is set to air every Friday at 7:30 pm on Maisha magic East.

Kamau is a skimmer and full of gimmicks that have turned his life into a circus show, his lack of touch with reality makes him prone to the most absurd of manners one could ever think of, however his simplistic mentality sometimes does come in handy, masquerading as practicability.

Produced by the now renowned Kangethe Mungai and directed by Njomo Nyathira, the production house, Kikwetu , is proving to be a force to be reckoned with in Kenya’s entertainment.

The cast include: Lawrence Maina who plays Kama, Margaret Mathu who plays Muthoni, Njomo Nyathira(Kama), Peris Wambui (Aunt), George Muiruiri (Mwas) among others.

Ciru, Kamau’s girlfriend is one sophisticated but confused lady, chasing after the wind in pursuit of the good life; her lack of direction nevertheless always lands her in the worst of places something that she is not proud of as is her baby sitting activity with Kamau she calls a relationship.
