STAND-UP COMEDY COMPETITION AUDITION: MAKE US LAUGH AND WIN KSH 100,000

Comedy Idler is a stand-up comedy competition to be held at Privee Westlands, every Wednesday night. It is intended to uncover and promote new comedic talent. Every week, 12 competitors, pre-selected at the auditions, will square it out for a chance to win KES 100,000/- every month.

Other auditions and Competitions will take place in 8(eight) other predetermined locations/towns throughout Kenya to give a chance to more comedians and create diversity.

Two judges and the live audience will select the top three performers from every week for the first 3 weeks of the month.

Online and SMS voting options will also be included on live viewing and voting options. The top comedians of the year, from all over Kenya, will then square of at the grand finale with a grand price at stake, and a chance to star in a TV comedy show.

N:B In case of a tiebreak or where the decision is in dispute or close, a head-to-head stand up battle will be used to resolve and get a winner.

Audition procedure/rules:
1.    You are required to prepare a 2 minute comedic stand –up presentation to be performed at the audition. It must be original.
2.    Open to all over 18 years of age.
3.    No use of vulgar language.
4.    Use of Swahili, Sheng and English languages.
5.    Experience is not necessary; we just want the “funny” in you.

We are primarily interested in the audience's response and the quality of your material.

Time: 9AM TO 5PM
