FROM THE MAKERS OF #KONA COMES THIS CAPTIVATING DRAMA #SUNRISE

While many production companies have the wish to be leading houses in content creation, hats off for Zamaradi production for walking the talk. From international TV soaps like KONA to being commissioned by DSTV to produce a chunk of TV films that put Kenya on the map under the Africa Magic Original Films Franchise, Zamaradi production doesn’t seem to stop anything soon.

The 1st of their 6 TV series that they plan to produce this year is ready to premier on ZUKU ENTERTAINMENT CHANNEL 100 on WEDNESDAY 5TH AUGUST 2015 at 8:30 pm.

Yes, they have partnered with Zuku to bring you a crime drama that twines a tale around blackmail, love, murder, hope, robbery centered in the ghetto they call Sunrise which is what the series is also called.

A beautiful young lady- SONI(played by Serah Ndanu)- has been away in the UK for 5 years in university. She comes back home to Sunrise to find things very different, crime rocks the settlement, people have moved on and life isn’t what she left back then. She gets robbed just as she enters Sunrise and all her bags disappear. However, all are happy to see her. She becomes very famous among the people and even gets the eye of CHUMA a local guy who is the sidekick to Sunrise's mob head, EMMANUEL ( MANU)

SONI’S   mother WAMAITHA who owns a bar is busy preparing a big party to welcome her home. SONI is cagey about the UK. She feigns fatigue but she's hidding something. Her stolen bags mysteriously appear at their doorstep. Someone has been through her stuff and knows her secret- who?

ROSANISTA (ROSA)the Sunrise Chief is married to the deputy head of Sunrise high school LUKA MUHANJA .Rosa gets a visitor MWADULO- who has been recently appointed county public service representative (CPSR). He has come to check on leadership in Sunrise. Or has he? What MWADULO is here for no one knows.  and is a no nonsense man. How long will Soni’s secret remain a secret? Will Mwadulo’s mission succeed?

SUNRISE debuts on ZUKU ENTERTAINMENT CHANNEL 100 on WEDNESDAY 5TH AUGUST 2015 at 8:30 pm.
