What went down at Alliance francaise on the 23rd Nov 2013 was special. For the first time, artists in the different genres of art, set aside their time and came together in aid of their fellow artist, actress Veronica Waceke. Ceke, as her friends call her, was diagnosed with early stages of thyroid cancer and she needed financial help to start treatment. Her friends and fellow actors put their creative heads together and came up with the idea of having a concert to raise money and called it The ART Synthesis.
Approxmately ksh 170,000 shilling was raised and a joyfull Veronica could not help but shed a tear while giving her "thank you" speech.

"All the performers, models, fashion designers, actors, deejay, Alliance française, Africa Cancer Foundation, actors.co.ke plus all that turned up to make the event successful,THANK YOU for your support towards this cause that looks like its going to be an annual event and proceeds will be going to a charitable cause.

We shall keep you posted on Veronica's progress.

'Brikicho!' One kid would shout from one corner as other kids responded in unison 'Banture!'. This was a hide and seek game kids in the 80's and 90's loved to play.  Maziwa Nyayo was the thing to look forward to every Friday if you were in a government run school in the 90's. In the 60's and 70's belly bottoms and platform shoes were the in thing as Daudi Kabaka'...
