The long wait is finally over. The much anticipated and much hyped kenyan movie the House of Lungula has announced its premier details. Thursday ,21st Nov 2013 at Century Cinemax (Nakumat Junction) 7pm is the place to be if you want to be among the 1st people to catch this 18+ rated controversial movie.  The premiere event has a special price for the general public of 500 ksh, which includes a free soda and pop-corn as well as the chance to meet and take photos with the star starded cast of the movie that includes Lizz Njagah, Ian Mbugua, Sarah Hassan, Gerald Langiri, Nice Githinji, Lenana Kariba, Sheila Kwamboka, Gitau Ngogoyo, Lydia Gitachu, Helena Waithera, Diana Nekoye and Director Alex Konstantaras!

Tickets for the premiere can be bought in advance from Century Cinemax at the Junction Mall or you can book a ticket in advance by sending an email with your contacts to

PS: The premiere has a limited amount of seats for the general public and therefore tickets are on a first come first served policy.

The good news is that after the big premiere “House of Lungula” will continue its screenings at Century Cinemax at the Junction Mall two times a day, daily, for a week starting on Friday the 22nd of November for 300ksh Monday to Thursday and 350ksh from Friday to Sunday! Check your local dailies for screening times.    

House of Lungula revolves around Harrison Hamisi, overworked and underpaid and is looking for money for bride price. A 'business' opportunity presents itself when he gets the keys to the Company House. With the CEO away on holiday, he has access to a vacant fully furnished house. He decides to cash in… Easy money doesn't always come cheap.

 To commemorate the premier, Historia Films have released the second music video from the official soundtrack of the movie! This time round, a hip-hop song called “LUNGULA” which is written and performed by CHUOM 32 feat Doreen Nyawira (Ni Sisi Band). CHUOM 32 is a revolutionary hip-hop rap group that resides in Dandora. The music video was produced by the award-winning duo, director of photography John Wambugu (Native Productions) and director Alexandros Konstantaras (Historia Films) after successfully partnering on “House of Lungula” movie.
