With the new season just having kicked off about 4months ago, Barclays Premier league embarked on a journey to give back to their fans around the world with who they have a committed relationship...a long distance relationship that is. The English premier league is the most famous and most followed football league in the world and as a token of appreciation to all their fans around the world, they decided to make a global advert to say thank you.

The advert was shot in different continents. In each continent a specific country and team was selected. In Africa, Kenya was that country and Arsenal the team that had the opportunity to be represented.

The advert was done locally by Ginger Ink Films, the makers of Nairobi Half Life.

The advert follows the story of fans across the world preparing with anticipation for the match of the day. We see different people from different races as they travel to go watch the big game and the activities they carry out before watching the game.

Maina Olwenya was selected as the actor of choice from hundreds of hopeful actors who auditioned for the advert owing to his stellar calm performance that he gave at the audition.

Check out the advert below:  #YouAreFootball

What do you Kenya Arsenal fans have to say about this? Is this your season or will the same fate befall you as shown in the advert?
