PHONEY - A SERIES COMING TO A MOBILE PHONE NEAR YOU.SHOT ON A NOKIA N8.

Do we have talent in kenya? Definately! Do we have creatives in Kenya? Yes. Do you hate people who like to answer their own questions like what I am doing right now? *rhetorical* . Seriously though, with the amazing talent the country is manifested with, most complaining of lack of opportunites, why not find creative ways of putting your stuff out there especially on mobile devices which everyone nowadays owns? I mean, how many times have you been stuck in trafic for example and you want to watch something nice and short because facebook is boring and you have a need to be entertained?

That is exactly what these actors just did when they decided to come up with the series titled "Phoney" and guess what, the series was created and edited using a phone. Short entirely on a Nokia N8 phone to be exact.I'm already seeing the $$$ signs that will come in if Nokia decides to sponsor this project.

The idea which was conceptualized by Nice Githinji and DJ Gambino is simple: A link will be uploaded online (small enough a size for mobile) for people to download and watch.

Martin Githinji wrote the script (no relation to Nice Githinji) and the story is about betrayal, deceit and fake friends hence the title Phoney (pun intended). Camera work ..sorry mobile work by dj gambino.

Kenya's First Mobile TV Drama stars Veronica Waceke, Wanjiku Mburu, Martin Githinji and Victoria Gichora.

Producer: Nice Githinji/ Malcolm Ouma.

Now this is what I call thinking outside the box. Watch the preview of the series which is still in production and yet to be released but definately something to look out for:
