ELIZABETH ARUWA’S PLEA AS SHE FIGHTS A TUMOR

Gerald Langiri
August 06 / 2012

To many avid local TV fans, she may not need an introduction. Elizabeth Aruwa has been a synonymous face in numerous TV adverts and TV programs. Mnet Changes series, Makutano Junction, Siri and the Yu Networks “All Charges Dropped” just to mention but a few of the projects under her name.

This is however not an article to showcase her acting prowess but a plea from her to her family, friends, fellow actors and the public at large. Elizabeth Aruwa is currently ailing and fighting to recover from a stomach tumor operation. She was admitted in Nairobi Women’s hospital last month for what seemed like a simple procedure to remove the tumor. Complications however occurred and she had to be later transferred to the Intensive Care Unit for further treatment and in critical condition. However Her surgery was temporarily postponed as it was too risky and required time to allow for her condition to stabilize but now she is required to undergo an emergency operation.

She is currently at home awaiting surgery which cost approximately ksh.1 million. She is calling out to you to assist in whichever way and however small a contribution you may have towards helping settle this bill.

There shall be a fund raiser at her home in Siwaka Est which is next to Madaraka Est, Nairobi West, opposite Strathmore University on Ole Sangkale Rd on the 11th of August 2012 from 1pm. The function will take place at the Siwaka Play ground.

"COME AND HELP RAISE FUNDS WITH US TO SAVE ONE OF OUR ACTORS, AS YOU MEET AND MINGLE WITH A GALAXY OF KENYA STARS - ACTORS, SINGERS, COMEDIANS, BOTH TV AND RAIDIO PRESENTERS"

While we are trying to “Bring Zack home” let us also try and “Bring Liz back to our screens”

If you cannot make it for the event, you can mpesa your contribution to her on the number 0721 627 937 (Serah Atieno Aruwa (younger sister))

Let us please “Bring Elizabeth Back to our screens”

Please pass this message far and wide and share it with your friends.

Elizabeth Aruwa

HERE IS WHY MOST AUDITIONS IN KENYA TAKE PLACE IN NAIROBI.

Posted on Jul 19, 2012

Auditions! Auditions! Auditions! For the middling budding Kenyan actor, it is the only thing that matters in his/her acting vocation. Talk about something else and you immediately loose their attention. If you are not talking auditions you are not talking sense. You can’t blame them either; every actor knows it is through auditions that many a talent is exposed. What really is the rationale ...

THEATRE REVIEW: FCA'S PLAY-TRAP FOR A LONELY MAN

Posted on Jul 16, 2012

The promotional e-mails and fliers promised a play “Packed full of suspense, intrigue and comic moments, with a killer final twist”. Just before watching this play, I had lamented (with the help of a fellow theatre lover) on the dearth of the entertainment factor in Kenyan theatre with a lot having predictable plots and endings. This stand was changed minutes into watching this play. ...

TOP 10 SEXY KENYAN ACTORS

Posted on Jul 16, 2012

The publication of the much disputed article, 10 SEXIEST KENYAN ACTRESSES, definitely begged for the male version of the same. They say one man’s meat is another man’s poison, but as much as we might not share the same views, definitely these ‘hunks’ carry the day. Unlike in the previous article where the author ruled out ‘the face appeal’ in his definition of ...
